Chreav waterfall is a natural resort located in Oral mountain, Taing Sam Ang Village, Omlaing Commune, Tbong District, Kampong Speu Province, Cambodia. It is around 100km from Phnom Penh city. The road to the resort is very good to drive because there is not much big truck and not much resident. When you reach Omlaing commune, you will see people sell fried grasshoppers along the road to Chreave waterfall. That is very tasty, and the price is not high. You can buy it around 1 US dollars per can.
Along the way to Chreav mountain, you can see people plant various crop such as corn, banana, malt, and those plant are very natural. People there are very kind and helpful they sell their crop very cheap price. When you reach the mountain, you will get the feeling of cold because there are lots of trees and clouds around you.
You need to park your car or motorbike at the parking lot and claim the mountain by foot. You can have meal by your own food, or you can buy from the local seller around there. They sell chicken, fish, soft drink, ice, beer but the price there is a bit higher than in village because they need to include the cost of delivery the stuff up to the mountain. If you don't want to spend much to buy expensive stuff, you can bring your own beer, beef, rice, mate, and cook your own meal in the forest.
The waterfall is so beautiful, and you even can cool up your beer in the water because the water is as cold as ice. There are nine stages of the waterfall. If you are not passionate enough to go up to the top of the mountain, you can play from the bottom, and it is also more safe. If suddenly the rain comes, the security will ask all the visitor to get out of the water because the level of the water will be higher and it is not safe to play.
