Biology of Kodom Thary

Kodom, born and raised in 1992 at Chup I Village, Chup Commune, Tboung Khmom District, Kampong Cham Province (currently Tboung Khmom province). While he was born, the country was not stable and peace because of civil war. It was very dangerous because everyone can keep gun even Kodom's dad also had gun to protect family from intruder. At the young age, Kodom was very rascally but smart. He started school when he was 5 years old. His parents were artist. His dad is a musician and his mom is a singer. They ran the business since 80s century but due to they lacked of time to take care of children, they decided to stop the business. Kodom likes music just like his dad but his dad never teach him how to play music instruments. Due to living standard was not stable like before, his dad decided to start a new business by running a musical school. Kodom always sneak and hide to see when his dad teaching the students. The reason his dad didn't allow him to study music because Kodom was too young. His dad wanted him to focus on study only. One day while his dad didn't have class, Kodom went to the musical class and played a song on the piano. The first song he played was "I'd love you to want me" by Lobo. Everyone was shocked because no one could believe that a 10 year-old kid can play a song by music note. After that, his dad agreed to teach him some chords and the way to use fingers on keyboard. Because of his passion he was not only can play piano but he also can play guitar.

At the age of studying, he never care about love even many girls loved him. He tried to study hard at school and never failed the grade. He graduated from high school in 2010 achieved grade C. After that, he left his hometown to continue study bachelor degree in Phnom Penh city. At first he arrived Phnom Penh, he was so empty. He felt of crowed people and the noisy life. He lived with his elder brother at Chbar Ampov district, eastside of Phnom Penh city. His brother guided to find a good university and how to ride motorbike in the city. At that time, Kodom's knowledge of English was not good enough so after finish class from University he had to study more at the pagoda because the price of studying there is cheap. Even Kodom is not a rich kid but his family supplied him everything for studying such as laptop, motorbike, book and school fee. Because of bad living condition, Kodom decided to move to live at Russey Keo district (his auntie's house).

Nearly graduate, he passed for a job at Japanese company, Camup Agency. The first job he got only 150$ per month but he was so delighted because he never got his own salary before. Because he is a economical person, only half year he can afford to buy new motorbike for himself. He graduated from university in 2015 holding bachelor's degree of English literature. To apply his skill of English on work, he decided to join new job at US embassy of Phnom Penh as security officer. This job he could earn 400$ per month so it was enough for him to save and buy a car. He bought a Toyota corolla 1996 to use for work because it is safer for him to go to work at nighttime. Two years later, his mind was complicated because he fell in love with a girl that doesn't love him. He thought if he has much money maybe it is easy for him to ask her for marry. His salary could not help because for Cambodia culture if he doesn't have 10000$ he could not marry a girl. Therefore, he decided to quit his job and go to Japan to study and earn money. In 2017, he went to live in Okayama, Japan to study the language and work. He could earn 1400$ per month but he needs to spend 650$ for school fee and accommodation fee. He thought that his decision was wrong because what he earn was not as much higher as his previous salary. After 6 months he came back from Japan to find a good job and earn more money. Sadly, he realized that the girl he loved also has boyfriend. He was so much down, and everything had ruined his life. He was changed from who he was before. He drinks and spend money like papers. He stops caring about himself and what he wants is fun life. He started his new career at RMA Cambodia in 2018 as sales consultant on material handling products. He enjoyed his job very much because communication is one of his talents also. After 1 year, his life was ruined again. The house he stays everyday need to be sold urgently because his auntie needed money. Depends on his salary, Kodom cannot afford to rent a room and daily meal. So, he decided to move on to new job again. Because of his talent and good attitude finally, passed a job at Japanese company that he can earn nearly 1000$ per month.
